The Burning Bush by TheRavenBlog

Do you read poems? Check out Tiana’s, or TheBookRavenBlog’s romantic poem!

Inspired by things that make no sense (her words, not mine, lol), her poem is true love in whatever sense you may think of it to be.

The Book Raven

There were two lovers I did see

They were opposites yet the same in the places where they wished to be

She was in a world filled in smoke

Twirling her cigarette beckoning to the boy whose heart she owned

She pulled him close kissed him and laughed

She never smiled unless he was in her path

He was never much for the burning paper

But he loved her loved her wholly

He wasn’t bothered by her pervasive vapor

But he never expected that it would burn them

Physically burn them

Until that fire engulfed the bush in the background next to them

The flame from a match she had used to light her poison

Dropped with enough ignition to start burning slowly, faintly, quiet motion

It was not enough to be noticed by two lovers sweet embrace

For anyone out there thinking of that one who’ll come to sweep you off your feet, Katd28’s thoughts may just help you. New to the WordPress community, take a look at her post about love and give her some advice about her blog site. Show love!

Have you ever thought of being with your forever? The one who will take care of you, will treat you like a god damn queen, make you felt that you are the most beautiful creature in the whole wide world? He’ll come. Sooner or later . Just don’t hurry love. It takes time to ride a white horse with a king. Just wait. Maybe he is jammed in the traffic, or busy making his/your future better or not yet born 😂 (lol)

Everything happens for a reason. Right time. Right place. God knows what’s better for you. Just wait. Your King is on its way. Chiao!! 👸

When Three’s Not a Crowd!!! My top reads of 2016

When by coincidence you have nine books, a catchy title, and great reads – you have to take advantage of that lol! Ishita @bookmyopia (WP not Twitter) has given her audience some of her favorite reads of 2016. Click the original post link for more on her post and blog site!

Sooo, when I was picking some of my favorite reads in 2016, I realized I can call them out in groups of three:

  1. New-to-me authors:

A Monster Calls This was perfection ❤ and my only 5-star read this year.

Fangirl  I loved – Cath!! The way Rowell portrayed her struggle with social anxiety was so relatable. I disliked – The abrupt ending to the Simon Snow show after all the extended page-time.

Speak Check out my Teaser Tuesday post here.

2) Standalone fantasy/paranormal

The Diabolic An inter-galactic fantasy replete with themes of loyalty, political coups and revenge. Check out my review here.

Holding Smoke I honestly didn’t think I would end up liking this one so much because – A) I totally judge books with people on the cover. B) I have been sandbagged in the past with “soul-themes” turning into religious fiction. But I had nothing to worry about. Read my…

Book Princess Reviews

It’s Day Two of me counting down books! Are you excited? No? Well, um, I think that’s still okay.

Anyway, one of the other categories that I created was the delightful category of Coolest Concepts! This category is dedicated to some of the most creative and coolest worlds that people built in the books I read in 2016 (and perhaps ever in book world). Let’s count down some worlds you may want to dive into in 2017, since they were so creative…and cool. That term is about to become un-cool with how many times I’m about to say it.

And the Trees Crept In by Dawn Kurtagich

and-the-trees-crept-in Credits to Little Brown Books

This book was original, creepy, and totally creative. It was beautifully done and had one of the most unique formats that I’ve ever read. The whole infusing of a creepy legend/folklore like feeling along with scattered journal…
